    His style is old school REAL old school the half wresting grapping style of the early 1900's. He fights like Jack Johnson......and I hate Jack Johnson.:twisted:

    I can see where you're coming from with that, but those are entirely different eras. James Jeffries wasn't exactly a stick-and-move guy.

    Very true of the Clips of Jeffries I have seen his style was half wrestling as well.

    Jack Johnson is a top 10 all time defensive fighter.

    Bernard, a more respectful student of boxing history than you, would be honoured by that comparison.

    JJ revolutionized boxing back in the day with his D.

    He would be competitive in an era with it I feel.

    Bernard definitely would be flattered, and as much for what Johnson represented outside the ring, if not moreso.

    I think Johnson would be too small to deal with today's heavies, but who knows. It is amusing that Johnson, at 6-1 1/2, was nicknamed "The Galveston Giant."
