Donald has a good chin, no suprise Povetkin was not able to stop him. Bowe is not an intelligent person. Hes a stupid one with a low IQ.
When did Bowe ever quit? I was never a fan, but the guy stood in there and took his lumps even when Golota battered him in both of their fights. That display at the Donald press conference was completely ****ing classless though.
When tyson went chicken-**** ape-o on lewis, that was the announcement of the fight, not the weigh in the day b4 the fight. Hopkins put the main event in jeopardy by doing that. Even though it was a light push to the face, winky could have suffered some sort of sprain that could of forced him out of the fight. $200,000 is an excessive fine. I sure hope he can afford it.
If I was Bowe I'd be kinda discouraged that my best cheap shots had no effect on an upcoming opponent! That was a perfect left hook and Donald just looks at him!
\ I don't think they were talking trash about his mom. They just said something like that "hey Bernard you should have listen to you mother and stop fighting 3 years ago, you should have listen to you mother!" I don't look at it as a trash talking. Anyway 200K is not much for b-hop (c mon guys! it's his poket change) but knowing him he's a one greedy fighter so i guess he isn't too happy about that.
$200,000 may sound a lot to our American friends, but to us Brits that works out to about a tenner in the current market!
Even mentioning a guy's dead mother prior to a fight like that is disrespectful. And I think some people are making a mistake when acting like 200K is not that big a deal to Bernard. Hop's purse for the Winky bout was 3 million. Taxes probably take about 50% of that. You subtract things like the trainer's fee, cornerman fees, training expenses, etc., and losing 200K on a BS fine for an openhanded push is not such a little thing, IMO.
Yeah but no one cares if Mayorga gets stuck for running his mouth, sometimes he goes way to far with what he says...That dude is X rated rofl.
It's great to have at least ONE edge over the Yanks, what with their $3.00 a gallon oil and cheap-as-chip's-arse food. Anyway, this is a good move. It's a shame they can't fine Hopkins for his disgraceful performance in the ring as well as his shaming of the sport outside of it.
