Well I've never heard of "in the cards", but "on the cards", like in the artical itself:deal is very common in my world.

    Does it matter anyway.:D

Ok, that's hilarious. It's definitely a North American vs U.K thing then.

Well hey now I know three British sayings. One of which I can actually use without getting stabbed.

ANNNNNNYWAYS, can't make up my mind on this one. I want to say Hopkins in a heartbeat, but man oh man Froch finds a way to pull it out of the fire every time. And ones of these days Father Time is gonna nab Hops by the nuts and bring him back to reality.

Froch has a lot to learn, and Hopkins would be just the one to teach him a lesson in the sweet science.

Pre-Pavlik, I would give Froch a great chance. That said Pavlik and Froch are indentical in more ways than one. Froch is probably slower than Pavlik in all actuality. Hopkins feasts upon slow handed slow footed fighters and could reduce Frochamania to becoming a one punch attempt guy through his counter punching and superb slickness.

That said if Froch can emulate his hero's strategy against Hoppy, he'd stand a good chance.

I just don't think Froch has the speed to trouble Hopkins.

This may end up being a boring fight though, because Froch's defense is better than Pavlik's, and he's a better counterpuncher.

Just the fact that Forch has a lack of rhythmm and is quite slow may give Hopkins an opportunity to operate quickly.

    I gotta go....

Great fight for Hopkins... he can frustrate and outpoint Froch in an ugly affair.

A win gives him the green belt... and helps to soften the blow of those Taylor loses.

Hopkins is all wrong for Froch.

To save me typing it over again...

A last thought since I posted the above:

Where's the upside for Froch ?

The only answer I can give is that he has to hope that SOME night, Bernard's age MUST catch up to him.

And that could be HIS night

(Oscar probably thought the same thing. And that was five years ago !!!)

If Froch and his people have a brain, they would stay away from Hopkins.
