Hopkins: GGG Should Fight Winner of Kovalev-Ward

Hopkins is an ATG, in the history books for the duration.

Golovkin, he's just an unworthy bum who even ducked a 50 year old senior citizen.

 

Hopkins is an ATG largely due to his longevity. His standout wins aren't really standout in a historical sense. He best two Welterweights. And got schooled by a 1 handed Roy Jones. And in the years during his career unified the the 160 pound division before losing to Jermain Taylor twice because he's vulnerable to speed and workrate.

That's his legacy and if that makes an ATG, then Golovkin is well on his way too.

 

Golovkin is a bum. He really should be boxing out of Germany rather than the US of A.
Golovkin makes you realize why the all time great P4P list contains no Russians, and probably never will.
Golovkin is even less than Taylor ans Pavlik, so forget his matching BHOP.

 

He doesn't need to move up two divisions to take a risky fight, that's just you wanting to see him lose. He'll be at a weight, height, and reach disadvantage. There are fighters in the 154lb pool that weigh more than GGG on fight night are the same height and have competitive reach that can also give him a good fight. And you act like he only fights Welterweights /sigh

 

Bernard was in the ring with Kovalev at 50, contending for a title and is still his best win. He's been a legitimate champion in 2 divisions and fought guys a division below and guys 2 divisions above MW. Not just no names.... many good to great fighters. He has more than made up for anything he might have failed to accomplish early on. And if any fighter has the right to speak on what another fighter could/should do, it's Bernard Hopkins.
