Today, Hopkin's boxing legacy (Undisputed MW Champion, LHW Champion) is well beyond that of any of the boxers you've named.

I notice how when people talk about Golovkin's resume they always leave out his best scalps. Murray and Lemiuex aren't great, but somehow the haters always gloss over those wins.

No, there was no shame in losing to Roy. That's obvious. But he stayed at MW for 14 years, even though he's 6'1, with a 75" reach, and there were potentially better fights available for him at SMW and LHW.

You're demanding that GG moves up right now, even though he's on the verge of obtaining all of the belts which is his goal. So what on earth would you be saying if he just held the IBF title, and he'd held it for 6 years just waiting for an opportunity like Bernard did? You'd be going absolutely berserk

He ducked Bernard? If he fought Bernard you'd be making threads titled:

"Bumlovkin's an absolute disgrace, he's fighting an O.A.P."

I don't think I have missed your point at all. Bernard has the right to criticize anyone he likes. GGG is not nearly as accomplished a fighter as Bernard. And Bernard is not the only one pointing these things out. But, GGG apologists want to attack legends of the sport who are also fans of the sport, that are not satisfied with GGG's level of opposition. Why would anyone be satisfied with it? It's virtually at contender status.

As for bullying smaller fighters. He got little Brook in the ring and beat up on him. But, before that he was calling out Cotto, Floyd, and most recently Canelo. None these guys are as brave or foolish as Brook. Canelo might take the challenge, and size wise is the most capable. Yet, the fact remains, there is keen interest in these smalier guys. But, when the bigger fighters show interest, he wants them to suck down in weight for him or avoids them altogether. If anyone is a hypocrite it's Team GGG. He should hope for his sake, the Jacobs fight comes off at least. Who cares about BJS, the guy already admitted he can't win?

Yes, this is true, proving even the whitest lie, may contain a shred of hidden truth.

Why take risks when he's already making enough money fighting bums at 160?. His idiotic fan base and the media give him a pass, so he's good.

    punisher,

Bernard can say anything he wants, just like how me and you can. But I'm going to speak out on his hypocrisy. Of course GG's not as accomplished as Bernard. But he's only 34, whereas Bernard is 51. Again, the point is, Bernard's telling him to challenge the winner of Andre-Kovalev, yet he had no intentions of taking those kind of fights when he was in GG's position. He spent 14 years at MW. He waited 6 years to unify, and he remained there for a further 5 years before losing to Taylor twice. All of which means that I don't respect a word that he says. Again, I too want GG to move up. And if he doesn't at some point, I'll be very disappointed. We want the same thing. I'm no apologist and I'm not attacking a legend due to bias. But again, I'm going to call him out on his BS.

Again, he never pursued Brook. It was very disappointing, but it was either accept him in a big U.K. PPV, or walk away from his long standing HBO date to fight someone else. It was a no brainier. He was just used as a keep busy fight. That doesn't make him a bully, it was just due to circumstances. He only called Canelo out because he won the lineal belt at MW and he was his mandatory. Canelo also isn't significantly smaller than him. Regarding Cotto, at one point he was obviously also the lineal MW champ. So it was to be expected. But he granted Cotto his wish to fight Canelo when he knew that Cotto wouldn't fight him. Regarding Floyd, that would have been a mega fight at 154, but he never pushed for it. None of what you've written is evidence that he likes to bully smaller guys. If both Cotto and Canelo hadn't have won the lineal MW belt, I doubt he'd have really pursued them. How many other 154 fighters has he pursued? Again, he actually signed to fight Eubank who's a huge MW, and Loeffler is currently in talks for a Jacobs fight. So I think you've been very harsh. I don't see how his team are hypocrites, although again, I do understand your frustration. Regarding BJS, I think that would be a great fight. Billy has a lot of ability.

Ward and Kovalev are two undefeated master boxers.

BHop only went up to 175 to fight a flawed belt-holder who had already lost to Glen Johnson.

Also, BHop first unified 160 and then moved up to 175 when he saw a robotic fighter that he could easily outbox. But for some reason he doesn't think Golovkin should be allowed to unify 160.
