Floyd's words summed it up pretty well if you ask me. "As soon as time is called, it's on. Why are you hugging and kissing. I'm not your friend. We're in the pain business". True. Ortiz was at fault. Immaturity
i'm no boxer, but i think that if you trust in your talents, you wouldn't have to resort to dirty tactics.
He wasn't refering to the Mayweather shot I think he was talking about general ring 'craft' some fighters use.
Cortez called time and the bell to restart the round never rang. If it's not illegal, what's stopping anyone from hitting his opponent when the clock isn't running?
I take it that you didn't see Cortez's interview - where he even said that he ordered them to fight and Floyd did nothing wrong. What he did say - it's there's no rule that states you have to hug and kiss a guy a couple of times to make up for something dirty you did. I just can't blame Floyd for doing what he did - when Ortiz did what he did. Everyone wants to talk about how if Mayweather is as good as he is - he shouldn't have resorted to something like that. If Ortiz thought he had a real shot at winning - he wouldn't have did what he did. In the end - nothing was done wrong on Mayweather's part - but I do understand why everyone's mad.
