Hopkins giving it to Bunce on Setanta

I actually found the whole thing quite funny even Bunce was funny there back in the studio.

 

Bunce is the biggest arse kisser around

Hopkins acted like a cranky old man complaining about hot chocolate, about how cold it is etc etc.

 

Hopkins is a ****ing diva, send him home!

 

Hopkins is underrated I have a bad feeling for Joe about this one - I think BH schools him. JC is a credit to boxing and ultra talented but Hopkins is truly elite. I think Hopkins can box his way to a UD.

 

I hate Bunce, but would have loved it even more if he chinned Bernie instead.

 

B Hop is a product of the Ghetto and the US prison system. I dont really see what the deal is here. He may be ignorant he sure as hell has got a big mouth but Bunce is a *****. I dont know exactly what his beef was and his attitude in my opinion was uncalled for but hey B Hop is what he is which is nothing more than a Ghetto kid who made it straight.

 

Jeff I couldn't agree about Hopkins being underestimated in this fight. The man deserves more credit.

However do you truely think that B-hop can beat Joe to the punch. IMO joe wins by 2-3 rounds as Hopkins won't be able to counter him effectively. Maybe I'm way off and you're spot on but IMO Joe is truly elite.

As much as I would love Joe to win I see the bad guy beating the good guy again when these two meet up. The writing is on the wall with the fight being in America with an American legend judged by Americans and ref'd by an American. It looks bad and JC will have to do a lacy on Hopkins to get a result but Hopkins is maybe the best fighter around at winning ugly and catching judges eyes, especially against southpaws.

He needs sending back to America, I have no time for racist's even if the remark was tongue in cheek and just a way of building publicity.

 

Two things-

1. People are taking all of this too seriously.

2. There is still not enough respect coming from the Calzaghe fans towards Hopkins. I'd say some of the comments are downright disrespectful & I think they are using the white boy comment as an excuse to get stuck into him.

Bhops has very much slowed down over the years. JC is still capable of throwing 80+ punches per round and once he is in a rythmn he is hard to contain, he keeps raising his work and most of it is quality work and scoring shots.

 

He's not a racist, he made a comment that could be deemed racist. Quit with the melodrama, it happened months ago.
