So second class that a black person is well on his way to becoming president? Many whit citizens are treated as second class too. People just tend to sit back in thier ghetto or make a break from it. Every one has an hard luck story to tell of how they have been kept down. There are not too many black people where I live and the general pub talk is very un politically correct but still very few people would have the indecency and stupidity to make that type of remark. B-hop is just a *****.
And whats funny about Hopkins having a little hissy fit? Bunce is a **** i do agree on that score but i didn't see anything particularly amusing there. What i have found funny is his backtracking from the Calzaghe comments and deeming it 'hype'. If it was indeed 'hype' then why didn't he wait till after the fight and let things heat up further create more controversy and surely by his logic increase buy rates? Why spoil the act now by revealing he didn't actually mean it? Ill tell you why because the backward idiot realised that the comments were not at all well recieved at all by pretty much everyone outside of his equally ignorant creed. They were off the cuff remarks in response to the old ******* being confronted with the inescapable fact that despite JC being undefeated Hopkins has lost to the two best fighters he has ever faced in Jermain Taylor and RJJ. Hes a ***** and a boring old ******* to boot as well.
Can't believe some on here making such a big deal about one stupid comment. Hopkins is not a racist it was a stupid thing to say but that doesn't mean he's a racist. Personally I believe the quote was simply stating that he believes that the majority of white fighters are inferior to black ones and you have to say looking at boxing history that he has a point.
Too much has been made about Hopkin's stupid comments in my opinion, it just shows his mentality. I wish he was as entertaining in the ring as he is out of it.
I reckon ive seen around 15 Hopkins fights, most since the middleweight tournament years back but a couple of his earler ones aswell such as Jones and Echols. He is a great fighter, i have not once said otherwise but i dont think he has an exciting eyecatching style. Horse's for course's i guess.
I admire the way he has changed his tactics as he has got older, its why he has been such a successful fighter. Knowone fights the same way at 40 as they do at 25. He got that art perfected and he is very smart in the ring. Never saw the Johnson fight, i take it that it was a decent one.
Excellent performance against a fairly green Johnson. Think it might still be on youtube? Although he's prolonged his career magnificently I preferred him when he was young and agressive (not his fault that he got old of course!)
he hardly set the world alight back then tho did he. I have never seen a hopkins fight which is the least bit entertaining. His skills cant be denied...its just its not good to watch
