That's fair enough, but I think he deserves criticism for his comments, and my comments here on directed to the members who are praising Bernard's heart whilst questioning GG's.

 

In my honest opinion, some people are hoping that Canelo drops the belt just so they can hate on GG for not accepting the CW.

So according to Hopkins, Golovkin who is a middleweight should leave another middleweight alone and fight a light heavyweight.

Hopkins should be seriously embarrassed having to come out with a statement like that. Canelo and GBP know Canelo's reputation will be shredded if he doesn't fight Golovkin after Khan so they are already in damage control made

Hopkins has basically spilled the beans with that statement, GBP, Canelo and everybody connected to him are terrified of Golovkin going anywhere near him.

Canelo will 100% drop the belt, no way does he fight Golovkin, I thought that anyway but his confirms it in my mind.

I do defend my favourite fighter, but again, when I opened this thread Roy wasn't even on my mind. I only mentioned him when it was relevant.

I can assure you that Bernard beating Tarver doesn't upset me as a huge fan of Roy's, and it has nothing to do with my criticism of him on this thread.

Again, I've only mentioned Roy and Tarver because they are relevant to the points I was making. If Tarver wasn't drained, (I think he may have been) then that win was simply awesome for Bernard. I've only mentioned Tarver, because that was Bernard's first fight after he'd left MW. If Bernard had fought Dawson in his first fight at LHW, I'd have typed:

"Bernard only fought Dawson after he'd lost to Taylor twice and he'd never have moved up in GG's current position."

I'll only criticise Bernard if I feel it's necessary, not because it has anything to do with Roy.

Actually that is a great shout, if they can get Pacquiao to fight again then I'm sure many fans will forgive him.

I think his reputation will suffer if he refuses to fight Golovkin, maybe not in the US but the Mexican fans won't tolerate a what is perceived as a duck.

 

To be fair, he spent a decade cutting a ton of weight to make middleweight and beat up on smaller men. Then he took the Trinidad and De La Hoya fights, either of which would be comparable to GGG's taking the Canelo fight. So he spent a long time being a ***** himself, before he took on men his own size.

I don't know why people want GGG to move up two divisions. I think that if you are willing to fight guys a division below you, then you should be willing to fight a weight class above you too. So if GGG wants to fight junior middleweights like Canelo and Lara, then he should be willing to fight Degale and Badou Jack at super middleweight.

But by the same coin, if Canelo is willing to fight welterweights like Khan, Cotto, Mayweather, and Mosley then he needs to be willing to take his medicine from the middleweights like GGG and Jacobs. Otherwise, he's a hypocrite.

 

I honestly would not pick Kovalev to beat Golovkin. Everything Kovalev has said about GGG leads me to believe that he has the highest respect for him and knows that GGG is the better fighter.

I think Kovalev would be too timid and vulnerable to set up big shots, and I see Golovkin hurting Kovalev pretty easy. GGG just seems more solid.

 

Hopkins still went up nd faced the top men at 175lbs so his ***** are three times the size off ggg right now and he was old.

Ggg hasn't shown any ***** thus far!!!! And it's not likely he's going to move up either.
