Hopkins was going to go to 168 for DeGale and says he wants one more historical fight.

Hopkins has spoken of his wish to fight Golovkin in the recent past, what's the chances of GGG accepting this bout?

Abel Sanchez said he wanted it last time it was mooted, Tom Loeffler was also keen.

    What say you?

Hopkins is in trouble as soon as he gasses out, probably around 7/8 rnd.

unfiar guys, Hopkins is 50, shouldn't be the ring with a prime champion now.

really? Hopkins was an undisputed hof atg killing champion in his prime.

3G has one real title and has beaten ... Danny Geale, a bit part titlist.

    He is the alien.

While I believe GGG would beat him at 168.....it would certainly not be as wide as the Kovalev loss

If GGG isn't the real deal, Hopkins outboxes him.

Hope it gets made. Big win for both.

    Really.. Robert Allen..three times?

It's funny how you talk **** about Calzaghe's opponents. But the Hopkins's bum hit list gets a free pass.:-(

joe is at the bottom of the pile for opposition, don't try and dig him out of that hole - its not funny how I talk abuot that fact, since its true.

Regarding a 3rd fight with NABF champion Allen, is excessive. Do you think a DQ entails a 2nd fight or not? you don't need a free pass to answer that.

And more importantly - I was comparing best wins. Are you? No, you've dug out allen, Hopkins arguably worst opponent. So your comment has no use as a reply to me.

Hopkins goes the distance and loses on points but wins a few rounds along the way. Reality check....Sergey hits way harder than GGG.

Another pointless fight that puts GGG in a no win situation.

He's also bigger and stronger and has a better jab.

Hopkins would perform much better against GGG than he did against Kovalev, and might even be able to edge one out against Golovkin.

Hopkins usual bag of tricks were easily neutralized by Kovalev, but Golovkin lacks several attributes that Kovalev possessed, making it unlikely that GGG has anywhere remotely close to the same success.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, but would prefer it at 170 for the old man's sake.
