Hopkins Gonna Whoop Calzaghe

  1. Joe underestimated Bika as did many here when he entered the contender. He still won underprepared all the same.

To be honest I see Calzaghe beating Hopkins pretty comfortably. He will not be able to get close enough to impose his will on Joe and consequently will get batterd from the outside.

On the cards 118-112 Calzaghe in reality Hopkins will struggle to win a round.

Basically if Calzaghe can box on the outside most of the time he will destroy Hopkins. I watched the Winky fight today and if the same guy turns up he will get batterd.

One thing that was noticable that Winky did is the when he threw the jab his hand was pretty stationary before he threw it subsequently Hopkins could just postition is right hand above Winkys right and take away his jab. Joe constantly moves his hand and then throws a jab and he will hit Hopkins with it a great deal :good

    Joe Calzaghe UD

Calzaghe looked poor for the first few rounds against Bika because he had absolutely zero respect for him. He didn't realise how tough he'd be and looked bad early because of it. There's no chance of complacency against Hopkins.

Expect a very fast start from Joe though. He's going to set a pace that Hopkins won't like and maintain it. Hopkins will have to try anything he can to slow the pace down.

Yeah missed that one out. Kessler would dismantle Hopkins now. Nearly as badly as Joe will:yep

    Excellent point.

BUT.....The last time we seen Hopkins at 175...he weighed 182 and was still 6-1....with a longer reach than Calzaghe.

And to the other guy...Kessler is not more accurate than Hopkins..get real.

I actually think Kessler and Hopkins have nothing in common...they are apples and oranges.

I actually think that Kessler would do more of a number on Hopkins than Calzaghe will.

Kessler could not push Calzaghe around and he is a massive man. He easily weighs more than 180 on fight night. Also the reach thing does not mean a great deal 2" when you stick out both arms plus the fact that Calzaghe's hand speed is so so so much better.

How many Kessler fights have you seen man. He is insanly accurate Hopkins landed 24% of his punchs against Winky.

Despite the fact that Calzaghe completely outboxed Kessler he still landed 30% of his punch's.

    :good

Calzaghe also handled 6'4 Veit with ease, so too a bigger, taller, stronger Byron Mitchell.
