    Die.

The guy relied on handspeed, workrate, stamina and a decent chin. He did not have even good technical ability, as clearly shown by his absymal punching technique.

    But still die.

Calzaghe won the **** fight out of pure volume of punches thrown in his flurries. He just outworks you and if you don't knock him out I don't see how you can beat him because he will out punch you.

Old man Hopkins just couln't keep up with Joe

If Calzaghe had ever fought an HOF class boxer who was prime, you would've seen how easy it would've been for someone with excellent boxing technique to outbox and outclass someone with all his technical deficiencies. If the 1993 James Toney would've been at 168 in the 2000s (Calzaghe would never have fought him until he was ancient, but let's be hypothetical here), he would've completely out-thought, out-fought, outclassed and outpointed Calzaghe. There is a reason why someone with the fanbase of Joe C chose to stay home and beat up the Sobot's and the Ashira's you know.

Old man Hopkins was 107 years old and landed all of the significant punches in the fight. Including the first round KD that had Calzaghe blinking incessantly.

 Yeah, coz everything that boxers say is true.

That's why Mike Tyson is obviously a better boxing analyst than Larry Merchant.

    What age are you, 12?

****ing braindead teenage ***** rat! :patsch

well b-hop had no problem outclassing tarver or pavlik or pascal...

you'd think he would make mincemeat of calzaghe if he had "poor technical ability". but he didn't. he lost. & you are still boo-hooing like a little girl. :deal

Hey '****, you still don't understand that Calzaghe fights differently to Tarver, Pavlik and Pascal. You should watch more boxing instead of sitting at home spraying wank-cheese all over your keyboard and mouse every time someone mentions Joseph C!

    calzaghe has "poor technical ability".

please explain to me how the b-hop that outclassed tarver & pavlik couldn't make mincemeat of a boxer with "poor technical ability".

in fact...why don't you explain to me how a guy with "poor technical ability" stayed undefeated for nearly 20 years am & pro...won aba titles in 3 different weights...won every single belt at 168...beat the ring champion (& p4p top 3) in his first fight at 175...& never had his "poor technical ability" exposed...ever?

    :huh

James Toney is a steroid cheating disgrace. he took steroids because he is a cheat. he wouldn't fight off a level playing field, he cheats because he knows he is not good enough without cheating. he has only been caught only twice but the glaring reality is that he will have taken steroids repeatedly,` but only caught twice :-(

even in his prime, toney was only winning life and death split decisions with the likes of dave tiberi, sosa, and johnson :deal

hell, a prime toney could only grab a draw with sanderline williams

toneys fan boys are so sad on esb that they try and big up wins against a eurobum like jirov and against an iran barkley that had recently lost to nigel benn in one round and then lost to a shot roberto duran at middleweight, thats right - a 37 year old duran fighting at middleweight :rofl

he then got your ass kicked by the likes of thadzi and midget griffin :deal

to make things worse, toney went callin out fighters from the ufc and then embarrassed the whole of boxing by instantly tapping out like a *** :dead

his run of fights in the super-middleweight division is perhaps the most embarrassing run of any champion in the history of the sport :dead

Toney may have been able to get away with his bull**** with ring comic and hbo puppetts, but the rest of the world is not as ignorant and blinkered as a cum guzzling *** like you when assessing his career :deal

He never fought one single HOF-calibre boxer who was in his prime. :smoke

He only made the fight with Hopkins competitive because Hopkins did not have good stamina anymore. :smoke

He had some of the worst punching technique of any world champion ever. :smoke

Hopkins beat other fighters in his 40+ period because they allowed him to fight at his own pace. Calzaghe didn't. That is all. :smoke
