Maybe Mundine is fighting all these Argie bums because Monzon gave his old man a beating.

Lmao... How true that is mate.

Just an interesting fact though, Mundine stated to some friends and I that he was only legitimately KO'd twice in his career.. Louis Rodriquez and Kahu Mahanga.. He simply folded in the rest.. Regardless of the so-called glass jaw, he simply knew when enough was enough, in theory..

Can someone explain to me why all big fights over here in Oz are on a Wednesday nite????

I mean WTF, surely having it on a Saturday nite like all the big HBO and Showtime fights would maximize potential gate and PPV sales?? Am I missing something here? Just doesn't make sense to me.

    Looks very promising.

Would be an even bigger shot in the arm for Aussie boxing if this was to come off. :good

I'm one of the biggest Green bashers on this site but i have to admit i respected his focus and belief he carried into the RJ fight and i'll respect him for fighting Hopkins. I think it'll be a good fight because Green will make Hopkins fight and i'll get to see Hopkins bash Green :)

its a hell of a lot cheaper to hire out a venue mid week than it is to do so on a weekend.

pubs and clubs are already busy on a saturday night - so no point forking out big bickies whereas **** all happens on a wednesday night so if they can pack a joint out then they get return for their investment.

Definitely some big money to be made here in Australia.

Hopkins wouldn't be able to make that money fighting anyone else.

Props to Green to bring Jones over and now it seems Hopkins is definitely interested.

should be a top fight, and makes more sense to me than the fight with jones.
