Hopkins had a long reign and knocked out two Welters

    That's the reality of his reign. Most people rate him and call him ATG because of his 160 title reign. Well he beat some decent guys like John David Jackson, Joppy, Johnson, etc.

    Ok that's fine, but are those guys any better than David Lemiuex, Martin Murray? I think not.

    Hopkins beat big name and top level guys at Middlweight. But both Tito and DLH were too small, too lanky. They didn't have a Middleweight frame. Hopkins did what he had to do. KO some tiny welterweights.

    Now, he lost easily to the two best fighters he ever fought. Jones and Kovalev are the best he's fought. And he was completely outclassed both times by the best. He fought the best, but stunk up the joint both times.

    And why did he not go to 168 and take on Toney? James Toney outgrew 160 pounds. Hopkins chose to stay down at 160 to fight guys like Andrew Council and William Bo James.

    Joppy was a champion that fought Roberto Duran and Felix Trinidad, Jermain Taylor and Lucien Bute.

    John David Jackson was a WBO 154 and WBA 160 champion.


    Martin Murray has never been a champ and Lemuiex was a pawn for Golden Boy not to get sued by K2 at the time. He had never been a champion either or fought anybody good.

    You are in constant defense of Gennady Golovkin when he in fact is a POS with a **** resume you try to make better by pouring syrup on **** and calling it pancakes.

    Nothing currently will change that **** resume for GGG and you need to accept it please. He is trying his best but without Canelo he is done.

    Well by your logic Hopkins was picking on the much smaller man in Jackson who started out at 154.

    And how dare you gloat that Joppy beat Duran, as though he wad prime and it meant something. You should hang your head in shame.

    GGG'S 24th fight was against... Grzegorz Proksa?

    Hopkins 24th fight was...Roy Jones Jr.

    Hopkins
    Taylor
    Pavlik
    Martinez
    Cotto
    Alvarez

    You know the same belt that Golovkin is begging and waiting 2 years to fight for like the maggot he is.

    GGG's first unification bout was against Lemuiex for a vacant title he barely won from a welterweight the IBF which was joined to another belt that was vacant and had 2 unknowns fighting for it. Milton Nunez?????

    Not trying to make it sound better. GGG has never fought a great fighter. For the record I think Hopkins actually rates higher than GGG at this moment. I don't even call GGG an ATG yet. I think he will get there one day though. Even if it's the Hopkins way which is get whitewashed by the best (Jones Kovalev) and KO Welters. (DLH, Tito)

    My issue is people on this board overrated Hopkins. It's laughable that people say Hopkins is greater than Jones. Hopkins was beaten by Jones with 1 working hand.

    I see no reason why Hopkins is any greater p4p than Tito, Toney, DLH, McClellan, etc.

    Can GGG KO Keith Thurman or Kell Brook for the ATG status.

    Let him do it the Hopkins way. Bring on the Welterweights.

    Hopkins fought a ton of bums in his 20 plus title denfences at middleweight but no one talks about that but if GGG does it it's a different story right ?

    Those defenses were usually either bums or Welterweights.

    GGG can't do the same though.

    How about his team's thoughts on fighting Khan?
    What about them antagonizing Canelo if he drops the belt?
