No, you don't know anything about Hopkins' prime if you think he was prime against Taylor lol. If you said he was prime against Jones in the first fight I couldn't really argue with that because he was destroying people and was on a winning streak but imo his prime started around '95 or at '97.

 

Not even close. Hopkins is too well rounded for hagler. 12-15 rounder hopkins wins a wide ud.

Lol, good one. I respect Calzaghe but he would be schooled by prime Hopkins & murdered by prime Hagler. He would give them trouble but not enough to win.

 

People say that Hagler deserved the nod but that was a close fight regardless. I always think of Vito/Hagler 1 when I think of a prime for prime matchup between Hopkins & Hagler. It would be a great fight where either could win but the more I think about it the more I think about Hopkins having a great chance to win it.

 

Please watch the fight.Hagler won at least 9 rounds.And in the rematch,he dominated Vito.Dominated.

As good as hopkis is I don't see him out boxing fighter like Duran even using dirty tactics, duran would still beat him.

He would get solidly beat by sugar ray ..

and he would lose by decision against the light fast hard hitting Hearns.

Hagler was too balanced a fighter to for Bhop to deal with, Bhop has never faced the type of animal he would face in Marvin. fight from ether side, good balance, solid punching power, good technician with excellent skill , all that back by A+++ conditioning ..
