where's your source or your proof for these claims, ? anyone with a forum account can make up imaginary conversations

you have no proof to disprove the injury is legit,

Are you sad that sentences addressed to Chad can no longer begin "Why you two-timin'..!"

I agree. I don't think what either man did was particularly messed up. It just ended the fight. Had either taken the high road and the fight continued? Either would have at MOST just been warned.

I think most of the reaction was due to the adrenalin in the place being so thick you could drown in it after the DeMarco/Linares fight. People were rabid. It was like stopping mid stroke. We ended up with "blue-gloves". :yep

The fight was getting heated. He had just touched Chad (I felt it was a KD) and Chad went after him something serious.

The stripping of the WBC title after the Johnson rematch went into the forgotten portion of my brain. Forgive me.

Says who? You? Cause you saw it? You don't really need to fall hard on your shoulder if you land on your elbow, which he did.

I don't think what either man did was particularly wrong. I was pissed the fight ended the way it did. NC. Neither man deserved a win off of that.

    Good point.

As GattiWarrior said earlier: There are all kinds of shoulder dislocations. I had a totally shredded shoulder and didn't even know it for years. No external symptoms at all, only confirmed when they did arthroscopic surgery. So the whole "it has to be a bone sticking out of the skin" thing is BS.

I agree 100%. I think I just feel the PBF/Ortiz situation again where it had been done before and the ONLY reason people are really complaining is bcuz the fight ended as a result of it. If it had continued it would mostly be a non-issue.

I guess we'll know more in the coming days regarding the injury.

If it is true and confirmed, it simply has to be a NC.

End of the day, Hopkins fell as a result of a push/lift. Yeah, Hopkins might of initiated the initial foul, but Dawson has fouled him right back. A foul is a foul.

Neither fighters at fault really, I don't blame either for doing the movements they've done. Hopkins is off balance and tries to tie up Dawson, Dawson reacts by pushing Hopkins off with his shoulder. 999/1000 nothing major happens as a result.

The ratio of people calling Hopkins a ***** for looking for a way out as opposed to saying "It happened and it sucks" is like 90/10. Even if half go "Damn, didn't realize Hopkins wasn't faking like a *****" the other half will just act like it's bull**** because they're so emotionally pissed for what transpired. I've been there, we all have. But if you're injured, you're injured. Hopkins is a 46 year old man. I understand he has a reputation, but has he ever shown quit in the 2nd round of a fight? Has he ever shown himself to be in such pain? Even if he was exaggerating, which could be a veteran case. The guy clearly hurt his shoulder. Not even when he got hit in the back of the head by Pascal did he roll around on the ground and act like he could milk points for Pascal's illegal shot. Denial can be like a powerful drug for some people who can't admit they were wrong.

Yeah because if you bend at the waist and a guy ends up over you it is "legal" to grab his leg, thrust forward, and drive your shoulder.

You can't even thrust your shoulder at guys standing up. Half of the same morons here saying "Chad did nothing wrong!" will be the same morons saying Mayweather fights dirty bending at the waist.

What Chad did was wrong. What Hopkins did was DEBATABLE due to Chad bending at the waist, moving forward, and Hopkins throwing a straight right at the same time.

Could also be he felt he wouldn't win and this was a way for another guaranteed purse/title fight... Not sayin it was and you're wrong, but you have to consider other people could be right.

He was guaranteed another million from HBO no matter what. That theory fails.
