"It was a hard and scrappy fight which got much harder after the sixth round when I started seeing spots after he hit me with that illegal punch in the back of my head,...The doctors at the hospital told me the punch landed at the stem of the brain which effects both vision and balance. It wasn't easy to get adjusted after that so I fought on instinct and heart, choosing to keep fighting like the champion I am, when others maybe would have quit."

I guess that's reasonable. I have my doubts that Bernard would purposely humiliate himself against his rival of all people by faking injury.

Though it still is a possibility.

I'm a fan of his and even if that punch affected him he intentionally lands an illegal punch clearly expecting a retaliation only to play extremely hurt to get time off or a free point. No one can deny this because it was too damn obvious. Maybe against Calzaghe we could make an argument that he was hurt, even though he was obviously faking there too, the faking in this fight confirmed that it's all bull****.

Uh-oh... I hope he realises that injuries like that don't ever heal... So he will always be seeing stars whenever he gets bopped. He probably should have done some more homework before claiming to have a brain injury...

if you really sit down and watch all those countdowns to "Hopkins vs Roy II" and all the training, and pain that he was gonna bring, and knocking him out, and this is personal....soooooo hyoed up...and then he rolls around every 5 minutes like he was tasered by the cops.....man, what a sucker i was for thinking this was a good idea! almost like previews to a movie...."man this looks great!" and the movie sucks...got me again!
