Hopkins didn't have any interest in Roid Jones. However, all the fans kept asking for the fight. That's the type of fighter Nard is, he gives the fans the fights they wany.

And you can't knock a 44 yr old for that, especially when that 44 yr old has done as much as he's done.

I think people have got to be aware to make the money that the Floyd and the Hopkins are making, you have to do that work initially, from then on, it really does become a "What's in it for me" because boxing never does you any favours once you retire.

Wait, so does this mean he's not fighting him?

This was after the Diaz Malignaggi fight.

He'll be fighting him, Roy Jones Jr looked very impressive against Lacy, did relatively good numbers and if he wins that CW strap, perhaps they fight at CW and it sets up the Adamek fight eventually.

Good, it's not like Hopkins has time to be picky.

It most likely always bothered Hops that he lost to Roy, therefore I'm sure he was bullshitting when he said: I have no interest in Jones !

The truth was most likely the other way around...until recently because them fighting represents their biggest possible pay day before they call it quits !

Well, for Roy, it re-establishes him as a contender.
For Hopkins, it polishes up a loss on his record.
Money is there, but I think this will be a pride fight.

Bernard has one of the best defenses in the sport today.

The decision was close between both Bernard and Roy...There should have been the rematch years ago, if the fight comes of, I don't think a lot of people will be interested, but it will enhance both fighters Legendary careers.

St. Bernard is just a ridiculously smart man.

Wait a minute, wasn't Hopkins calling Calzaghe/Jones out no matter who won their fight? I'm sure I remember that happening, and neither accepted it.
