If they fought again there would be more chance of someone ringside getting KO'd by falling asleep and banging their head on the floor, than either of them in the ring.

I would watch the fight as would everyone else but dont get carried away, Their syles clash HORRIBLY, nothing would change, it would be close again with Calzaghe getting the nod for dominating the second half of the fight. It would be even worse if it was in Wales coz some crowd drunk panic stricen ref would stop it coz Hop wouldnt be doing anything and then these forums would be filled for eternity about robbery and so forth.

the first fight was a dirty/foul filled scrappy affair.

its ok hopkins wanting a rematch but it will cost a lot of money to put the fight on, tv will not be enamoured with the fight , and while hopkins might have said he will be willing to fight in wales, there are problems having it in wales.

should calzaghe fans have to watch a fight at 3 am in the morning.

should the hopkins fan have to travel all the way to wales on his own.

It's true that usually, whenever a fighter or trainer promises a return to form, or something new, it's more often than not complete nonsense; however, Hopkins and Richardson did deliver this time. To borrow the terms Nazim Richardson used in the pre-fight conferences, there has been two Bernards: one is the Executioner, and the other is B-hop. Now in the fight against Pavlik, Bernard didn't fight like the Executioner of old, but neither did he fight like the extremely defensive B-Hop we are accustomed to.

Instead of pure speculation, like many of you are offering, I give you this: in the fight against Calzaghe, whenever there were exchanges, Bernard did get the better of them; moreover, Hopkins showed in the 10th that he could be effective going forward. Can he do it for an entire fight against Joe, i.e. will he gas like last time? We don't know. Will Joe adapt to Bernard mixing it up between aggression and defense? We don't know, but again, these are some of the questions a rematch would answer.

Well considering the amount of fights he has had during that period, You would think a fighter in that period would have landed a KO punch and given him his first loss of his career, No matter about the quality, He has fought guys from having good speed to good power, and still has not lost.
Joe is a special fighter, Nothing can change that.

slapped, calling a pro fighter who's stepped in the ring 45 times a coward, hatred.

you are hysterical and have nothing interesting to add. you'll fit in well round here.

I think hopkins is not the sort of man you want to **** off and JC has pissed him off. I would love to see a rematch as I can see Hopkins messing with Joe head this time around.
I think Hopkins will beat Joe if they fight again Hopkins wont make the same mistakes twice and there first fight was real close imo.

The one thing you can be sure of Hopkins is going to make some noise during RJJ VS JC it should be fun to watch.

A WBO title reign fighting mostly sub-standard challengers for 9 years does not make you an "All-Time Great", sorry. If you think his wins from Lacy onwards make him an ATG then fair enough, but what you said was 'holding a title for that long alone makes you an ATG' - it most definitely does not.

No, he wasn't fighting sub standard challengers. That is a dumbarse comment lol. That is who your boy Pac fought outside of past it Barrera, past it Morales and prime J.M.M. Besides those 3, you look at Pac's resume and that is sub standard comp. Pac was ko'd twice, and he has a loss to past it Morales. Cal is #1 pfp. Floyd is the true pfp champ. If Pac fights Hatton after Dlh, it's curtains for the fraud champion on my pfp list. He can go shove his fake ass lightweight title where the sun don't shine. He is probably waiting for Campbell to get old or lose anyway.

He also has a corporate duty, along with Shane,to keep fighting in big events.
They wont be as much use to Oscar sitting in board meetings and wearing suits.Loads of corporate types can do that.
GBP wants them fighting, thats their important role to the company...the rest is just PR BS

Joe is going to retire anyway, if Jones wins then a rematch with Hopkins is possible, don't think Joe is interested in another fight the man already said he has nothing left to prove and lost the desire to continue anyway.

If they do fight again someone should bring a defibrilator as Hopkins looked like he was gonna have a heart attack after about round 8 last time, so if he is going to throw lots of punches this time he is going to be shattered. Or maybe he only gets exhausted when he runs around like a ***** ? If JC is a slapper with no power maybe someone can explain how a glancing slap to his preotective cup hurt him so much so often ? I mean its lucky he was not hit low by someone who could punch or he would still be doubled over looking for a dq. Hopkins lost because JC was better, he was better 6 months ago he will be better in 6 months time. Its purely down to Hopkins that they never fought 6 years ago. He will beat RJJ easily too

    So?

He said the same thing before the first fight.

He also said he would "never lose to a white boy".
He also said that he would "never lose to a kid from Arkansas" before losing to Taylor.

    Talk is cheap.
