Hopkins: I'll turn Bute into a Canadian Kelly Pavlik

Just retire, Hops. At least go out on a win, because that's not going to happen if you fight a young gun like Bute. Or Dawson or Haye for that matter.

 

Remember I warned you some 20 minutes ago not to argue? It was for your own good. Everybody but you and Hopkins say he's a Romanian boxer fighting in Canada, because he's a Romanian boxer who's fighting in Canada. And I don't even want to bring in Hopkins' racism, but what the **** does Lucian Bute of Romania has to do with Kelly Pavlik - other than his skin color and Hopkins recent racist comments?

And I agree with what you said to a certain degree at least when you said Bute is a slightly smaller Dawson.

 

It's sad really. Hopkins is becoming so delusional, just like Roy Jones. I noticed it when he started calling out David Haye. I am no big fan of Haye, but it is clear to me that Hopkins would have no chance in that fight. I also think Bute, a potentially great fighter, would beat Hopkins in a clear, but never easy decision.

that doesn't make sense. technically he's romanian-canadian, just like jean pascal is haitian-canadian. it is not incorrect for hopkins to refer to him as canadian. you say bute is not a canadian, but a "romanian living in canada," the only way that could be true is if he is an illegal immigrant. your post is one of the dumbest i have seen.

 

A piece of paper doesn't change your nationality. Israel Vazquez has US citizenship and still calls himself a Mexican and walks in under the Mexican flag. If Oleg Maskaev claims he's American and walks in under the American flag, I guess you can call him American, but I don't know how many rate him as the last American HW champion.

As far as Lucian Bute and the boxing world is concerned, he's Romanian. And as far as Hopkins is concerned... he can't get rid of his white men phobia. First he shouts "I'll never let a white boy beat me", then he claims "I beat up Kelly Pavlik who’s the Great White Hope 17 years younger than me", and now he comes up with the "Canadian Kelly Pavlik" **** where I don't see any other similarity between the two.

Hopkins claims "I'm fighting the system" when he's beating up "the Great White Hopes" and the US had it's own issues on the subject, but what the **** Romanian Lucian Bute has to do with Hopkins fighting the American system?

Hopkins should fight Dawson & if he were to win that, what better way the retire from the sport?
