He is also one of the top 30 (arguably) fighters in boxing history. No shame in fighting that.

On top of that, he is still one of the best defensive fighters in the game, has some of the best timing in the game, has a granite chin, is one of the smartest fighters in the game (arguably the smartest), IS the dirtiest, etc.

Joe aint just fighting some random over the hill fighter...he is fighting a legend.

Jeez, you guys make 50 sound like he has one foot in the grave! Archie Moore did pretty well for himself well into his 40s. So did Big George.

and yet is still one of the best in the sport, along with one of the biggest names...

i dont care if he WAS 50.... if he had just beaten one of the best p4p fighters in boxing AND was the light heavy champ, joe has nothing to be ashamed of... and JC is not in his prime anymore eather.

His career started later than other's - and he's never really taken any punishment. Fighting like he fights - he could probably stick around for another 5 years - but we know he won't.

I was just thinking how amazing Hopkins is. Eric Morales, my favorite Mexican fighter of all time has already had a legendary career and is now retired and completely shot. However, were he to continue his career he would have to fight into 2020 to match Hopkins age!

No way does this slander Morales, it's just a testimony to the uniqueness of Hopkins.
