Who? I didn't give a **** about that fight. Please don't project your nationalistic bull**** on me because I don't root for fighters solely on the basis of what country they're from.

Im not talking about you in particular, and I didn't specifically mention you at all as you might have noticed. What im saying is that many of the Hopkins fans who also happen to be fans of Mayweather have something in common - nationality.

Such individuals were delighted when Mayweather showed Hatton who was boss so to speak by dishing out some of the rough stuff in return. They rightly pointed out the irony of Ricky Hatton fans bitching about a biased ref and they had their moment - fair enough.

It is pure hypocrisy for the same breed of fans to now turn around and ***** about Calzaghe dealing out some of the rough stuff to Hopkins. I heard many of them say wait till the Calzaghe fans come here crying on Sunday about Hopkins roughing him up.

Looks who is crying now juding by this thread. No offence to you at all sir.

Calzaghe should never have admitted that intentional low-blow... what did he have to gain by saying it?

Hopkins deserved It, I think many would try to foul him back when he's doing a Ruiz.

One intentional (and obviously not very hard) low blow is a WORLD away from the ridiculous act hopkins put on, that was just plain embarrassing :/

Calzaghe, (and his fans) handled the occasion, his opponent and the 'referee', far better that Hatton did. Hopkins was inciting racism in the lead up, cheated his way through the whole bout and showed no class in defeat. The best boxer and the best human being won.

If only Calzaghe could replicate the foul-free offence of Hopkins. :hey

By the age of 43, isn't it time for Hopkins to work out that a one-two is a straight right hand set up with a jab, not a straight right hand set up by a headbutt? Hopkins should have been nicknamed the "Billy Goat", because he's the worst butt-bandit in the sport.

and that's why I asked if you'd like being called English. I'm well aware you're Scottish. You calling me a yank is about the same as me calling you English. At the end of the day I'm not going to be crying about what people nickname Americans but the term annoys me (and is an insult in a large portion of this country) and I just wanted to make you aware of that fact.

    HERE'S MY PROBLEM WITH CALZAGHE:

If he said, "Hopkins hit me low, so I had to hit him back", it would've been fine with me. BUT, Calzaghe said "When I hit him there in the second round, that was proper deliberate. He'd knocked me down in the first so I had to give him a dig, didn't I?"

To me, that's bull**** stuff. It is nowhere near acceptable in boxing to intentionally deliver a low blow because a fighter knocked you down or hurt you. That's what Zab Judah did to Mayweather. That's immature, amateurish, and shameful for a fighter with a reputation like Calzaghe.

Fighting fire with fire is fine. BHOP hits you low, by all means hit him back. But don't be a sore loser little ***** who hits a guy low because he knocks you down LEGITIMATELY.

Say what you will about James Toney and Roy Jones, they would NEVER pull a stunt like that...
