Fair enough mate, I apologise for any offence caused.

My ultimate point still stands however. It is ironic that so many fans of Hopkins who stated before the fight were warning Calzaghe fans not to cry and ***** about the dubious tactics employed by Hopkins during the course of the fight, are now doing exactly that themselves.

And its a damn well fact that its all over this board.

    HERE'S MY PROBLEM WITH CALZAGHE:

If he said, "Hopkins hit me low, so I had to hit him back", it would've been fine with me. BUT, Calzaghe said "When I hit him there in the second round, that was proper deliberate. He'd knocked me down in the first so I had to give him a dig, didn't I?"

To me, that's bull**** stuff. It is nowhere near acceptable in boxing to intentionally deliver a low blow because a fighter knocked you down or hurt you. That's what Zab Judah did to Mayweather. That's immature, amateurish, and shameful for a fighter with a reputation like Calzaghe.

Fighting fire with fire is fine. BHOP hits you low, by all means hit him back. But don't be a sore loser little ***** who hits a guy low because he knocks you down LEGITIMATELY.

Say what you will about James Toney and Roy Jones, they would NEVER pull a stunt like that...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think given the fact that this was a SD, I think Hopkins now has a case for an appealing of the decision on the grounds that any intentional foul is punishable by a point deduction, not needing a warning. So that being the case, by Calzaghe admitting to the first foul being intentional, he is in essence taking 1 point from his score. this of course would not have changed the outcome of the fight alone, (Hopkins would have needed 2 points in round 2 to sway Ted Gimza's card to draw), but it could possibly force a NC for this fight.

really it's no biggie but i see lots of folks use that term and i don't know if they understand what it means to Americans.

and i agree about that Hopkins fans don't really have room to complain considering he is the recognized master of dirty tactics :yep the only thing i would take issue with was Calzaghe's disrespect of Hopkins by enjoying a bit of love on his backside. i realize it's just a joke and for a laugh but i don't see a place for that inside a boxing ring.

Admitting that you threw a low blow because your opponent legitimately knocks you down, is pure amateur bull****, not the actions of a champion. That's all I'm going to say.

    IT'S OBVIOUS!
