Bernard s gotta be the smartest fighter I've ever seen.
Look at this video whe he demonstrates some tricks and tactics used in boxing.
Calzaghe is more sort of trowing lots of punches and not a lot of technique and I thing that what separates him from hopkins.
I hope wise fox will win this one
    Go Bernard!

The wisest fighter of this generation. I actually think right now probally Cotto has the best adaption skills during a fight but Hopkins is the best preparing for one (barring the 2nd Taylor fight).

Wise yes, but Calzaghe can adapt to any style, is a very busy fighter, will outwork Hopkins.

How else would you suggest that Calzaghe should fight Hopkins?
Hopkins is not going to lead.

if you knew anything about boxing that comment shot down any credibility you had, :patsch

JC is such a adaptable fighter he adapts in the ring and his ring smarts are one of the best in the business you have to remember he has been boxing LONGER then bernards has!

Hopkins vs Calzaghe - it's pure boxing intelligence against pure fighting heart. I am not about to go into Calzaghe's heart but to people who consider that Hopkins' class ( or lack of) is a factor, I do advise two fights so that you can make out for yourselves: Classy and aggressive Terry Norris makes his 10th defense of the WBC light middleweight title ( after Waters and Gatti)against Simon Brown in Mexico and is knockdown in the first ( by a jab), rocked in the second and end of the third and flattened in the fourth... Then, watch Hopkins-Brown and see carefully how Bernard doesn't waste any punches, chooses his opportunities and creates his openings with his "negative", "ugly" style... Joe doesn't have much to lean on based in that "Enzo Calzaghe explosive interview". Look at what they said about Haye-Maccarinelli and what they had to say afterwards - actually, Enzo Calzaghe didn't say anything other than Macca made mistakes, so don't expect great ring intelligence from that side...

If your talking about that Haye-Macca fight, I didn't like to hear Haye talk so much but he walked the walk... And he's really a tremendous fighter and I go back in my opinion about Haye and Peter - Peter leaves himself open like he did against Oleg and Haye walks all over him...

Macca could have done better with such a beautiful scenario in the O2 Arena, such a build up and a Setanta coverage... I do wish him well in his comeback.

If your talking about the upcoming historic fight on April 19th, I don't wish anything like embarrasments or public humiliations on anyone... Just that Joe Calzaghe seemed a very intelligent guy when he spoke about Enzo, getting hours of sleep, relaxing before the fight, in the Macca-Haye weigh-in and then, he completely loses it when Hopkins name comes up... I don't understand anything Enzo Calzaghe says and I am terribly impressed with J D Jackson ( and Nate Campbell) and Freddie Roach ( and Manny's progress).
