he is meant to be training shane mosley for his next fight and he was supposed to be in the corner for his fight against judah, seams to be taking it seriously. he would be a great trainer because he understand boxing and the difficulties a young fighter can have.
I dunno. I could envision him talking about himself a little too much and getting carried away all the time when he's talking to a guy he's supposed to be training. He might say something like, "Who i am? Who i am? I'm the former undisputed MW champion of the world with 20 straight defenses..........."
Ive said it a thousand times....Ill say it again. When it comes to IN RING intellect, few if ANY (arguably EVER) match what Bernard brings to the table. Its what initially made me a huge fan of his...the way he just didnt physically break his opponents down...but also would outthink them. Watch him in his prime (and a few glimpses outside of it)...plotting his next move, luring his opponent into traps, thinking of gameplans to expose the other fighters biggest and even smallest weaknesses. Just amazing. I dont think there is an active fighter who would be a better trainer. Say what you want about him personally...call him boring (post-prime...anyone who considers a PRIME Bernard boring NEVER saw a prime Bernard)...but the man KNOWS the sweet science.
