He weighed 181 and 182 on fight night against Calzaghe and Tarver. It would be absolutely no problem for Hopkins to put on another 10-15 lbs of solid muscle with the help of Macky Shilestone.

It would be hard, but they are slower at that weight a little. But I see your point. I could see Bernard come in light to fight Adamek.

I disagree...Chad's chin is questionable at 175...there is no question about the status of Adamek's chin at any weight.

I really think Bhop would outsmart Chad at 175. What is Bhop's best punch? What punch is most effective against Chad?

    There you have it!!

Yeah, although he would get more kudos for beating Dawson, I think Adamek would be a tougher fight.

    Agreed!:good

I don't think there are too many fights to be made at cruiser for Adamek. I would really love to see him move up and fight either James Toney or David Haye.

As for Bhop, there aren't too many fights left for him period. I think he will fight RJ again if Roy looks good in March.

I think Roy has NOTHING. I wouldn't be surprised if Sheika beats him, and I ain;t kiddin'.

By the way, everyone on here knows that Roy was my boyhood hero but....come on, Hops would stop him inside five. He'd show no mercy like Calzaghe did.

i think Roy will surprise you against Omar. He will look good and KO Sheika.

I think Roy was just outclassed against Calzaghe...that version of Roy beats Tarver any day.

Roy looked surprisingly fast in the opening rounds of the Calzaghe fight.

Don't give up on superman just yet!!:good

adamek is less risky for bhop than dawson...leave dawson to taylor and kessler

If the Roy that came out for the first round against Joe had came out against Tarver in their 2nd fight, Tarver wouldn't have got to the 2nd and managed to take Roy out. Tarver isn't exactly steel chinned.

However, Roy's head was all over the place in that fight. I wish he could get back to the way he was, but exhibitions against the likes of Sheika is as far as he's going to go now I'm afraid, although I think he could possibly beat Fragomeni who is the WBC CW champ, and feather fisted.

No, Adamek is MORE risky. Whilst B-Hop ran the risk of being outpunches and outslicked by Dawson, if he loses against Adamek it will surely be via savage K.O.

    Good morning Asero!!!!

Fragomeni is a very bad match-up for this version of Roy...he's a very good pressure fighter.

This fight is just a measuring stick for Roy...he will whoop Omar and fight Bhop later this year. i could also see him trying to challenge Chad Dawson later this year.

What does this version of Roy have to lose?

If he pulled off a good victory I think he cracks the top 10 ATG and probably the best MW ever!!! Hops is the man.

I see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree with you. Even though Dawson clearly and cleanly won the h2h matchup vs Adamek, Hops was still the highest rated LHW. Facing Chad is still more risk than reward- Bernard would be fighting against a less popular fighter for a title he's already held. Facing Adamek, though, gives him the chance to be a 3 division champ, which is a great accomplishment at any level, but is extremely rare once you start at any weight class above Welterweight.
