    oh yea haussler.

then Hopkins is pretty much Pavlik's best available option

still not PPV worthy but who knows maybe they will jam the undercard with good fights

Hopkins is still going to easily beat the slow, one dimensional Pavlik who only has one gear in coming forward, right into straight right hands and has a crackable chin on top of it.:yep

Too bad, I was looking forward to Calzaghe annihilating the overrated Pavlik, guess we'll maybe see Calzaghe take the Tarver/Dawson winner, it's a better fight anyway.

The ignorance in today's boxing fan is at an all time high !! Hopkins is old and worn out ? He loses by split decisions to Calzaghe another legend but he's old and worn out ? I really hope this type of fans grows old with boxing and turns their attention to something more up their alley like so u think u can dance !

Don't worry they will see how wrong they are.

Hopkins IS old and past his best, no doubt at all, this is well proven.

But, Pavlik IS average and will be easily dealt with, he's a counter punchers dream.:yep

Nah, he's a no name nothing in this generation, made no impact, beat nobody and is 45-0 off of mid-level bums solely and overrated. Pavlik and Bute are ATGs.

it's tough to judge how great hopkins is at this point in his career, as it always has been. he'll give ANYONE a tough fight when he's 100 years old. he's a spoiler and probably the best ring general of his generation. he doesn't have the natural talent of a roy jones or even a de la hoya but makes the most of the his strengths and opponents weaknesses. having said that he's had occasional struggles with guys he shouldn't have (ie: echoles) and he's depending more and more on his ability to make his opponents look bad rather than win. he'll make a long ugly fight out of it, and in the end get out worked and out hustled

Yeah, I knew he did because he tried to get out of it. I just posted before reading far enough down. Strange enough, the only name Kelly wasn't going to take heat about fighting from SOMEONE was AA.

I think a lot of how this fight turns out is on how it is ref'ed. I'm glad it WON'T be Cortez. If BH does his 'hug' game, Kelly needs to make him spend energy doing it. Make it less attractive. He was gassed in the Calzaghe fight even with all of the holding.

It could be a tough fight for Pavlik. BHop is still a tough guy to beat.
