He's not being hurt by these punches, but his legs aren't steady at all. He's trying, but the legs are gone.
If it wasn't for those KD's, he would be winning clearly. Except for a few big single shots, BHop to me has done much more combination punching and body work.
His hands are clearly still excellent, and he's showing a natural sense of supreme ring generalship, so maybe he'll still win. I'd like to see him retire either way though. Those KD's are bad signs, his legs couldnt hold up to the force.
Shot wtf? how about finish watching the rest of the fight dumb **** hes coming back. He may not be as fast as he was 2-3 years ago but he isn't shot.
At nearly 46 years of age, he looked excellent. Tell me, how many athletes can hand with young 27 year old man? I have to admit that I saw his legs greatly diminish during and after the Winky Wright fight. He was not hurt by those two knock downs tonight. His legs just could not sustain his balance from the blows. Don't think he is shot, but there were clear signs of his age tonight.
Exactly. Hopkins quickly corrected me tonight, shot is clearly a step to far, but compared to even just 2 or 3 years ago, I didn't like the way he looked tonight. Massive credit to him though, he fought the lightheavyweight champion of the world 18 years younger than him, bounced back from two early knockdowns and dominated most of the fight. He deserved the decision.
Hey kid, how could Hopkins be "shot" if judging from his performance against Pascal he would beat the majority the top 10 Lt. Heavies right now?
