Even at 43, Hopkins would beat Danny Green, Erdei and Woods no problems. Then there's Chad Dawson, possibly the single most overated fighter on these forums, he's being hyped just as much as Lacy was. Yet with Lacy I could see WHY he was hyped. He was very impressive, knockout power in both hands, exciting to watch. He warranted his hype. Dawson, well..... What makes you think he could beat Hopkins ? Him getting floored by Eric Harding and Tomas Adamek ? Bernard would beat his ass all the way back to Gary Shaw.

Selective analysis there. How bout Dawson getting up from those punches (and the Adamek punch before the count of 5) and winning the fight, easily? Do you not rate the rest of the work he did in those fights? And for the record, Dawson has beaten the best LHW opponent of all the fighters you mentioned. Lacy warranted excitement, much like Gatti. Not hype. He was deficient in punching accuracy, placement, ring generalship and defense.
I don't discredit him as it is. However, rating him as anything other than a Top 10 ATG seems to be "discrediting him" to some.
