Hopkins is the RING P4P #4...which is interesting.

RING are reputable I hear so I'll take their word for it for the sake of this thread.

Were Calzaghe - Hopkins to come off... Calzaghe will shut-out this RING #4, possibly with a stoppage. Or if he breaks his hand in the first round, he'll just practically shut Hopkins out, I guarentee it.

Whilst I believe Calzaghe should be rated higher...I'll be patient should the fight be made (lets hope Hopkins doesn't come to his senses and it is made).

So when Calzaghe shut-out/destroys/murders/embarrasses/schools the RING #4, surely by default he should be made number one. Floyd has never embarrassed a top 5 P4P fighter. By default, according to all this resume criteria Calzaghe has to be number one by default right? Two weight RING champion. If you go by the criteria that has previous kept Joe down then it is Calzaghe #1 by default.

Can we pre-emptively agree this will be the case when Calzaghe goes about his usual business against Hopkins? There are no valid counter-arguments.

He can slap him repeatedly until the referee takes pity on poor Hopkins though. Which is just as good, just as effective.

so basically you're suggesting that they hire the same ref as in the Manfredo fight.

He doesn't even need that referee.

The beating would be enough to make even Joe Cortez cry and halt the fight.

    Ok.

Either agree with my pick now, or you are all obliged to name Joe Calzaghe P4P number one once the prophecy has been fulfilled.

Corrales was the lower end of the top 10.

And Corrales was #5 when PBF beat him, and PBF was #7, at least by Ring.

    100% correct.
little instances like this just show how utterly biased towards certain AMERICAN fighters theirs lists are.Calzaghe if it happens would be fighting at Hopkins preferred weight aswel as preferred venue and STILL he will be fave, someone explain how that makes sense?.To get the real P4P list what you need to do is relegate all American boxers on the list by 2-3 places depending on the individual plus any fighter who has connection with DeLaHoya including Hatton needs to lose one places,EG Mayweather is both so he loses at the very least 3 places but because other below loses places aswel he is still high at number 2

    THE REAL P4P LIST.
