:rofl:rofl:rofl Yes give popkins' RJJ as a top opponent. Calzaghe beats tarver, Trinidad, DLH. I am just waiting for Popkins to face pac and JMM then he will have fought more hall of famers. What do you mean they are blown up, nah they are big big names p4p ATG's. I would seriously like to have seen this interviewer before the lacy fight with all this ****, yeah who has joe fought the europeans are all B level fighters. Lacy is an american only fighting A level fighters all his career, there is no way joe can win.
Reasonable people in the US (P4P boxing on yt posted one day ago) seem undecided at this point but they tend to go with Calzaghe by slim decision just because Joe is THE Super Middleweight Champion and Hopkins struggled with Wright. I still say that if it turns out to be a boring boxing match, Calzaghe loses his advantages but that has nothing to do with his boxing resumé. As long as he throws more punches than Wright did, Hopkins will have to push himself to the limit at this age.
That interviewer is a spineless ******* thats for sure. I find Merchant annoying at times but atleast he has the balls to call out fighters on their bull**** during interviews.
That geeky interviewer is so happy he gets to talk to pro fighters, thet he cant help but kiss arse, he nearly creamed his pants when Hopkind agreed with his biased bull ****. Calzaghe UD all day long, hopefull the final few haters will be eliminated this weekend. ps There was no American 168 champ willing to face joe Calzaghe, until Jeff Lacy. Ofcourse Joe has beaten alot of Euro based fighters in Europe, super middleweight has been a prodomanatly European dominated division. The closer the fight comes, the more i cant wait for hop to get battered!
Dont worry about it. bernard simply isnt as intelligent as he thinks he is, he tries to sound it and i meand REALLY tries to sound it, but he isnt.
Actually another article already did that explaining Hopkins loses to Taylor (which most believed he won) and RJJ, which was competitive, and hardly a blow out. At least Hopkins had the nerve to get in the ring with one, who many believe is one of the greatest fighters of the century, Jones. Has Calzaghe meet anyone on Jone's level? Never. Eubanks? Pleaseeee! Eubanks will be very lucky to get inducted to the HOF. Still, I'd be surprised if he does. Following viewing the fight in Germany between Edison Miranda and Arthur Abraham, and the refereeing of the bout, I am not surprised that Abraham's or Calzaghe are lose free at this point in their careers, and why so many American fighters dread the thought on taking a fight in europe. Abramham's definitely lost that first match betweem he and Miranda. The only thing that saved him was the ref. atsch
But in all fairness to Abrahams and his management they taking a rematch in America and have seen the disatrious tatic by Calzaghe and Warren in taking over 10 years to be man enough and fight in the Mecca of Boxing. I've got to give him mad credit for that!
I am a uk resident and your comment on Eubank disturbs me, it is an indication of the ignorance and lack of knowledge our fans have of the game......deary me
'Calzaghe's bin there but he hasn't beaten them???' I really hope Joe wipes the silly smile off their faces.
Bernard better be careful. The last time that I heard someone called someone a con man was when Moorer and Atlas called Foreman a con man and then Moorer got knocked out in the tenth. Should be a great fight.
