Ok I have read the responses and found the main theme to be ..Meaningless...NON EVENT...No win situation....etc etc ..

you ever sit and watch the old masters football tourny's...wid all the old footy stars like Cantona and Zico etc ...meaningless game ..but an exhibition of the sport by those that play it very well ...

Look at this fight the same ...age and future doesnt matter ..its two of the best doing wat they do best ...

fitting ending wud be ..both fighters stand in the middle of the ring embrace ...sign and exchange gloves ..and both retire ...closing the book

Me and any boxing fan with at least a half of a brain.

THEY ROBBED US OF A FIGHT TEN YEARS AGO when something actually mattered then. Instead both screwed us over with lousy sparring sessions to fatten their wallets.

Now they are both old, (at least Jones is) washed up, and have no relevancy or importance in boxing world think they can fool everyone and screw us of money again.

I have a big "F**K YOU" to both of these egoistic selfish *******s. Knock each other out if you will. That still won't make me care. What's saddens me is that I couldn't see the fight when it did matter.

And for the record. The fight will suck majorly. It will be as cautious and boring as anything we ever saw before.
Lots and lots of posing and tough talk but NO action..
Keep in mind I AM a huge Hopkins fan.

They can fight if they want. I'm sure Jones has a big enough backyard to build a ring. His neighbor and a family can gather to watch the fight. That's pretty much all the extent this fight has in term of meaning/relevance.

    Why you supporting this garbage??

Imagine a chick turned you down in High School. Went through the whole football team, and the basketball team...
Ten years later you became a big success grew into your frame and made tons of money. While she got two kids and 80 extra pounds.

Then she came up to you and said she reconsidered your proposal from ten years ago and would like to marry you NOW..

Would you tell he to go :cus herself??

Hopkins is my favourite fighter but it's clear that he has now reached a phase in his career where he is simply looking to make easy fights for money. If he was serious about being regarded as a top fighter he would look to fight Dawson who is the top light heavy.

Can't blame Hopkins really he is in his mid forties. While he is still able to compete with the best he knows he isn't the same fighter anymore and is choosing fights accordingly.

this fight was always going to go ahead regarless of Green

Hopkins wants his revenge , which he'll get.

Jones ..... I guess he wants the money

I'll catch it just out of morbid curiosity but I sure as **** wont pay for it

"And Jones, who is protesting the loss to Green over a dispute related to the amount of gauze Green used in his hand wraps, still wanted to face Hopkins."

    :lol::lol::lol::patsch:patsch

no it's not like that. It's like this: you wanted to **** a girl ten years ago, but she said no. Now ten years later she says all right then. So you **** her.:good if you don't , you're being ghey.
