Maybe if this fight was on a different night i would buy it. Showtime on the 17th has a much better card, for free
I don't know man, I see what you're saying, but at the same time I think B-Hop is in a better state than Roy Jones right now. I mean look at RJJ's last couple of fights, minus Calzaghe. He lasted with him because he wasn't the same RJJ that we all remember. And B-Hop beat Pavlik, the current champ. It's either gonna end from cuts or go the distance, but Hopkins definitely has more gas in the tank. Should be fun though.
What a pointless, circle-jerk waste of time. I hope the ticket sales and buys are lousy, serve them both right. Hopkins won't possibly beat Jones Jr any quicker or decisively than Green did, really not his style, so at best with a victory he just looks inferior in comparison. At worst, and God forbid, he loses to a guy aced out in one round in his last fight. Even for boxing this is transparently venal, I won't be tuning in...no way no how.
I wont buy this fight but ill be interested to see who wins.... ill probably be on here looking at the round by round, but no way i pitch money for it. My how time flies... i didnt realise Roys already in his 40's.. thought he was like 39. I think this is still a good style matchup for roy, i dont expect hops to take him out early but i do expect hopkins to win.... but i really think roy will win some rounds, hopkins isnt aggresive enough and is old himself, with roy still having the speed advantage. If hopkins loses this.... :-(
