Hopkins: "Jones Should Retire"

Basics to B-Hop will be of a higher standard than most, Jones obviously never mastered them like Hopkins did but like he says, he never needed to in his prime.

 

Hopkins went into Jones's dressing room after? I remember thinking how Hopkins felt about watching Jones get beat up and clowned from ringside. I was hoping he wasn't happy watching it and it sounds like he wasn't at all. Good to hear he did go and show some love to Roy.

Hopkins is still successful because he "learned the basics" and Roy didn't I guess....yeah. But Hopkins is still in much better physical condition then Roy is also. Much stronger and faster on his feet.

 

Wow, that's practically word for word what I said in the thread asking for a rematch between these two. At this point in their careers, it would simply be a waste of time for Hopkins. As much as I don't like his style in most fights, Hopkins is a freak of nature.

But it was mainly due on Joe dropping his hands and clowning in front of Jones.

 

RJ needs to come down to reality and just enjoy the fruits of his labor. he can't do no more as a fighter. definitely needs to hang them up for his sake.
