All the talk about David Haye reminds me of the time when, just after beating Valuev, there was talk of Jones and Hopkins calling him out. From what I recall I think Hopkins actually did!

The former would undoubtedly be an absolute massacre. I think Jones would have been violently knocked out and possibly permanently damaged as a result. Thankfully the fight never happened.

However, given Hopkins' recent acquisition of the LHW title, I can't help thinking what would have happened if Haye had perhaps come back down and fought Hopkins at a catch weight. Even though Hopkins is by no means a spent force, he showed a vulnerability to knock downs in Pascal I. Given Haye's speed, power and strength advantage, I can't help but look past a Haye knockout within 6 rounds.

Either way, despite the noises made by both American fighters, these fights were never in any danger of happening! Just wanted to gauge people's opinions.

Big size difference between the two. Hopkins would have few advantages in this bout apart from ring IQ. The odds would literally be stacked against him.

I don't believe he was serious about calling him out.

It was after Haye beat Ruiz, and that's a step too far.

Haye probably knocks them both out, including Hopkins.

Although, I have learned to never doubt Hopkins...
