What if Hopkins gets knocked out cold? Retirement or carry on?

What if Hopkins wins? Unify the division?

He's too crafty to get knocked out cold, I really do reckon he'll work kovalev out after a couple of rounds and give him plenty to think about, kovalev will be smiling in frustration once he realises he's in with a grand master, the question is does kovalev have an answer to this? I doubt it.

Hopkins goes on and beats stevenson in a slightly less entertaining fight.

This one has me major arguing with myself, I'm torn. But having seen B-Hop over the years I would'nt bet against him grinding out a win in a spoiling fight with Kov eventually growing very frustrated & maybe loosing focus.

After a Hopkins win, Stevenson will not go anywhere near him, if Hopkins is stopped however I would be surprised if he NEVER fought Stevenson - Adonis will want to equal Kov, without actually getting in with him.

Could become the first to unify the 4 oldest belts at 2 weights.

He'd have to beat Stevenson first.

He will probably have some easy win type of farewell fight after so he can retire with his head up high.
No question about it, lots of money and prestige involved so Hopkins would try to get it. And certainly when Hopkins wins close or controversial, Stevenson would likely take the fight.
