yes your right a strategic fight can be every bit as good, but not quite as good as a out and out war! Lennox lewis now there was a canny chess player inside and outside the ring.
So why has Hopkins last few fights been awful again? because winky was fat and jermain was lazy? :nut :yep
Note that I said fights were awful, not Bernard! The fact his opponents were slow and predictable was not Bernards fault, but it made for a terrible spectacle because Bernard is hardly the most exciting fighter himself so the fights suffered.
Judging from the initial posters screenname...I am sure there is zero chance that any allegiance to a certain fighter had anything to do with his decision.
In Rd 1 Joe will be doing his thing, like he always do, jumping around trying to do a RJJ imitation. Hop will be real slow starting maybe throw 5-10 punchs in the whole rd. Rd 2 Joe will come out to continue his pace from round one and as the rd ends get caught with a big right hand that'll make him run for the 10-20 sec. left in the RD. Then the match will really begin. Round 10 Joe's face will make him look like a Joppy twin and he'll run for the last two rds. Hop UD If he does run, Hop TKO
Bhop would struggle to slice a loaf of bread right now, JOe is going to punish him on Saturday night Bernard is not fighting a guy this time who has ballooned in weight like Winky or Oscar, this time Bernard is in with a guy who he cant intimidate and cant beat. Good thing he kept the wheelchair tarver gave him because after Saturday night Bernard will need it
Plus this guy has fought NOBODY in his whole career, so he been saving it all up for this moment. Hopkins better watch out!
No Its not just that I want calzaghe to win and yes he is my favourite fighter, but I do think that the last few Bernard performances were against blown up winky wright, and Jermaine Taylor the illusianist who dissapears for a few rounds then reapears! Bernard wont get any peace on Saturday joe will be non stop at him, pressure and pace, bernard just wont be able to cope. Joe walks around at about 14 stone (196 lbs) so you can imagine how much more comfortable this new weight feels to him, he looks fresh ready to go and retains the speed he has always had, this is a big difference for Bernard after facing those I metioned.
You did get your point across, but i do not see the need to degrade a fighter's resume and opposition to do so.
