me too brother. Logic says Pavlik decision, and maybe that's still a good bet at -130, but I swear Hop drinks magic potion. I can't bring myself to bet against him. I put a sizable wager on him straight and small by decision, I'm up enough for the year to make some sentimental, if foolish, bets. I might just throw away some money on Roy too.
170 is better for Bernard. He's too big when he comes at 175. I hope his stamina will improve in this fight because of the weight. One more thing, I'm sure B-Hop, the smart and proud man that he is, didn't like his stamina issues against Calzaghe and trained like a madman to improve his stamina for this fight. I also hope he learned a lesson from his last fight and that he will pace himself and not start too strong. War B-Hop !
I know what you mean...I felt the same way about Hatton's fight in May, when I bet against him since the odds were real good...it almost worked but I knew it was a long shot anyways...
Definitely. The clips of him training for this fight... show a Hopkins that looks faster, sharper, and with more power in his punches than for the Calzaghe fight.
Pavlik winning is best for boxing..but as a sentimentalist, I'd like to see Hopkins eventually ride out of town with a win under his belt.
You know, no one EVER mentioned this on this board. I think that is a good catch. You never know. It might play a role.
