GBP have done a shocking job promoting this fight.

Even then I find it unbelievable America "the mecca of boxing" can't sell out a 19,000 seater arena in Vegas.

    Unbelievable.

So this fight is still nowhere near a sell out?

Would it have done better in New York or Philadelphia?

It’s an over-used phrase but this really is an intriguing matchup with so much on the line, I must admit that I am surprised that it would appear to have not captured the imaginations of arm chair fans.

Just prooves the fact that American fighters should be coming to UK, instead of the other ay round.

I love the way Hopkisn says "i have fought all over the world" when he has fought outside the us once in Ecuador.

If its a draw, re match without a doubt at Millenium Stadium.

    HOPKINS DON'T DRAW ****!

It shouldn't be a suprise. Hopkins isn't a draw in America and that's it, really. It's saying a lot if he can't attract his share of 20,000, when Calzaghe can, despite those fans having to pay for hotels, flights and afford to be off work.

It's a joke that American fighters still use the "Fight in America if you want to fight me" thing. It's been proven time and time again that more money can be made in Europe. It makes financial sense.

This s further proof that Hopkins is losing the political battle. If the fight is close, he's screwed. The judges will be on Calzaghe's side.

Good point, there would be a riot if they gave a gift to Hopkins as well.

The American boxing establishment is washing their hands off him. They'll take a hit to reclaim some semblance of credibility. Hopkins is ****ed politically, especially after his racist outburst.

ODH will make sure Bhop is pushed out the door. Though he has been loyal, he aint selling tickets so ....this is the last ride for Bhop unless he can muster up a Roy Jones rematch. The americans are not buying this fight b/c they dont know what the **** a Calzaghe is. It takes two over here. They have to know both guys.

Pretty dsigraceful to say the least.

If this fight took place at the Millennium Stadium-Cardiff, Wales, it would have drawn in the range of fifty four thousand fans. The interest would have been huge and it would have brought between 5 and 10 million pounds into the local community in tourist money plus it would have once again set a new record to see a boxing match indoors in Europe.
