Lets face it, the guy has respect from people but not a lot of love. What a career. Still tough seeing him go out like that. I guess one of the benefits is that it truly should end all of his boxing comeback intentions. what a final ending to his career---you like to see the gradual beatdown thing and the corner jumping in to save their guy. But in boxing, things don't go like they do in the movies.
If Hopkins was unsure if he had made the right decision to retire, then he should be in no doubt now he was right, literally knocked out of boxing, a true career ender.
I don't know man, it looked straight out of the movies! Like if they ever made a Rocky 12 or something, this is how he'd finally go out. Or if they ever remake the whole franchise, this would be the way he KO's Creed in Rocky 2. Looked totally movie-like, you don't see that in boxing too often. Plus with the storyline of it being 90 year old Hopkins being the one to crash.
