Sounds stimulating enough... Who is the more defensively skilled fighter? The guy who actually gets hit the least (Hopkins)? The guy who has the most overtly apparent and flashy defensive style (Mayweather)? Personally, I'll go with the guy who gets hit the least. The dirty tactics of Hopkins mean nothing to my preferences so long as the job gets done.
I venture to guess Mayweather gets hit less. He has the highest hit to not getting hit ratio I believe since compubox started being recorded. Better then Roy Jones in his prime and better then Sweet pea.
FYI, if you actually watch boxing, then you would hear jim lampley state during floyd vs hatton that floyd holds the least hit stats too.:good:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
I can't agree. Mayweather got hit more by Corley, Castillo, and Judah, than I've seen Hopkins get hit in his entire career (not literally, but you get the idea).
Good ****ing comeback, bud. 'Grade A' stuff. Just keep avoiding everything I say.. It's workin great for ya! :rofl
I'm in tears, bud... :rofl:rofl:rofl Yeah, you're right. According to Compubox Calzaghe hit Hopkins 16,000 times. :rofl:rofl:rofl Parrying and deflecting punches isn't defense according to Compubox, I know! So right! :rofl:rofl:rofl Mayweather rolling and sliding halfway across the ring to get away from a single jab against the likes of Arturo Gatti and Carlos Baldomir is really easy to keep track of. :rofl:rofl:rofl Good times.
you're an idiot. is pitiful really. u don't have to take the stats from "jim lampley" or the facts i have given u. i mean does it matter with floyd's extentsive amatuer background, olympics, and started learning boxing since two and surround by bunch of relatives who boxes. compare to bhop's mugging experiences that he learned from jail in his late teens or the fact that he was a physical fighter until late 30s until he finally mastered the game that floyd was applying during his amatur days. YEA... also take it look at ur poll too.
In case anyone is wondering that's tliang1000 there in the front ---> :tdh <--- and Floyd in the back. Good post, BTW. :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Well worth the read.
Those are just 3 fights his entire career. You can point to similar fights in Hopkins career such as against Mercado, Jones and I believe Winky outlanded him aswell. In the corley and Judah fight he totally outclassed botha after the 4th round and really didnt get a punch landed on him. If you seen the punch stats of the Baldomir, De La hoya and Hatton fights, you would see that all 3 struggled to land more then 10 punches a round. In the De La Hoya fight, in round 11 I believe Floyd landed 27 punches to Oscars 7 thats staggering. Fighters tend to land on Hopkins however, he roles the punches so good that they have little to no effect so it looks like he's getting hit more then he really is. Still Floyd tends to land more then Hopkins aswell.
