I know hops is a ring legend who can make crude fighters look bad, but this russian can hit and hurt bernard. hopkins may be a little too long in the tooth for an up and comer like kovalev. He fought Dawson. Twice. And while Hopkins fanboys were throwing out personal insults and threats at me for (correctly) breaking down my opinion of the fight, everybody else knew Dawson was going to beat Hopkins due to styles. So I would say that Hopkins would face guys with bad styles for him, but I would bet a lot that Kovalev vs. Hopkins never happens and that Hopkins would drop the belt ASAP saying that he needs fights to help his legacy and that Kovalev doesn't do that, despite signing on to face Karo Murat.

Catching a flat jet lagged Campillo doesn't equate to beating up Hopkins. I would like to see Kovalev against another live body. Pretty sure Hopkins woulnd't mind trashing another young undefeated guy. Kovalev didn't look like he was the type that would give Hopkins problems.
True, I can see Kovalev coming in straight lines though Cloud just basically gave up near the end Yeah Hopkins scares me, one day is chin is gonna give in because of age, i dont understand how its still granite
