there is not a lot of depth to his resume but that stand-out performance against Trinidad and generally looking excellent makes him a great imo.

Trampie thinks Calzaghe is greater than Hopkins and it´s only perceived otherwise because the majority of the boxing public is American. He also has Calzaghe posters in his bedroom and sleeps in Calzaghe bedclothes and calls his wife "Joe". Know what I mean?

Who's this Max Kellerman guy that says ''Joe Calzaghe would beat prime Michael Spinks'', is he some kind of American boxing journalist, does he rate Bernard Hopkins ?

In all seriousness Calzahge would always give Hopkins problems. Calzahge was physically bigger and had fast hands and good skills. He just never tested his skills when he should have, so he farked up his legacy. Beating guys like Lacy and Kessler turned out to be no big deal.

imo stylistically Duran was all wrong for Hopkins. Hopkins team knew this and subsequently refused a deal offered that was put forward in 1993 after Duran obliterated and outclassed the tricky and avoided spoiler, Hulsey and the hot prospect, LeBlanc. Hopkins wanted no part of this motivated Duran. Not many people know about this situation as the mainstream boxing media, still under the influence at this time, of mainstream poster boy and puppeteer Ray Leonard. Who quickly swept it under the rug, out of spite perhaps, or to salvage Hopkin's credibility and resume the Hopkins hype-train.
