I'd say Antwun Echols, from those that I've seen, but I havent seen the majority of his fights before 2003. thoughts?
I've been trying to download the Johnson fight but i can't get my ratio high enough. if someone has it could you please upload it somewhere like stage6.divx.com and send me the link?
ive always wondered what happened to the light heavyweight who beat Hopkins in his very first pro fight. apparently he only fought like five more times and was knocked out in his last fight. still, thats quite a distintion to hold. not exactly Buster Douglas over Tyson, but a feather in the cap nonetheless.
hopkins used to be one hell of an attacking swarmer - short, fast power shots, and in combination too.
Actually, his fight with Andrew Council, although one sided, was a pretty fun brawl. And, the way he dismantled Joe Lipsey was damned entertaining.
Echols Trinidad Johnson Tarver (no idea why people considered this boring???? Not sure what fight they were watching) Lipsey Joppy Holmes Mercado 2 All highly entertaining fights.
I'm still waiting for it...nah just kidding I would say against Tito and Tarver, but there are a bunch I haven't seen, like Johnson.
1976 philly vikings under 11`s v salt lake city boys club boxing tournament when hopkins fought tarquinn bigbottom the 3rd and kicked his ass.
I'd have to say the Echols fights, out of Hopkins fights that I have seen. Trinidad was pretty exciting, especially considering the build up and the reaction of the crowd and HBO's announcer's as they realized that Hop was handling Tito with ease.
