This late start crap is killing him. He would have won the fight with Jermain Taylor and Jean Pascal if he didn't start late.
Nard was looking to start fast with JP but the younger fighter was dangerous early on and he caught nard with some quick shots that he wasn't expecting. Nard can't change his style now...he's an old dog and his tricks are still enough to beat the best in the LHW division...unfortunately he was a victim of a bad decision...NOT robbery but the VAST majority felt Nard won. It wasn't split...it wasn't half thought JP won, half thought Nard won...it was an overwhelming majority who gave the fight to Nard by at the very least 2 rounds.
he has a dull and boring style, fights dirty, makes ignorant racist comments, cheats and try's to con the referee. then he wonders why he doesnt get the decision in close fights. hmmm..its a mystery to me.
Hopkins suck, fell twice and complain to the ref everytime... Take the punch and shut up dude just like you did in the last 6 rounds but its too late after 2 knockedowns... the fight is a win for Pascal or a draw at best(for hopkins)...
...like BHop needs to be told what to do given his baggage. Ha. AA needs to change his approach... BHop needs to ****in retire after the Pascal rematch.
I wish he would stop looking at the ref for help when things ain't going his way, that gets on my nerves. If he ain't brave enough to take a shot then he should get his hands up instead of showing his opponents the back of his ****ing head, then complaining when he gets hit there.
This Pascal had the atheleticism, speed, and power to keep BHop off him in the opening rounds, so did Taylor. But once Hopkins got them bodyshots in he slowed Pascal/Taylor down, changed their styles. Experience is most usefull in the last few rounds, first few rounds favour youth.
Hop doesn't have to change anything, he's an all time great and IMO beat Pascal fair and square. His ring IQ is through the roof, and he's one the smartest fighters I've ever seen. I understand what you mean by slow starts hurt him, but during those slow starts he's laying the foundation ie. body work and head tactics to take the fight in the mid to late rounds. At 46 years of age it's amazing to see what he did, slowing Pascal down with body shots and IMO swept the fight from round 5 on.
