I'm with you. I've prayed for this rematches for YEARS. I've been saying for the longest time that any time after 1993 Hopkins would have won a rematch because he could figure Roy out if he just had the second chance. Now he might win this fight, but we'll never know how it would have gone when they were both still physically primed. That said, I know I'll be paying for the fight when the night comes. Absolutely cannot miss these two in the ring together. You know how Roy kinda just wanted to see the final bell in Jones vs. Tarver III? He will not do that with Bernard. The two seriously have personal pride issues and I can see both doing ANYTHING possible to win the fight. Aside from promotion and hype, this is one of the few fights in boxing that could be made right now that would literally be very personal.
"This is personal." Man, I am psyched for this fight. 17 years in the making and it's finally happening!!!! :happy :happy
#1 - BHop knows boxing. He is a student (and professor) of the game in the truest sense. #2 - :rofl:rofl:rofl at 2:48 when he corrects himself about Pavlik...
BHop would not have beaten Roy in 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, or 99.... I don't care what he studied or figured out. You can study a crocodile for 10 years and figure out its every move... But don't jump yo ass in the Okeefenokee Swamp...:nono
Bernard really knows his boxing, he just can't display it with words. xD I hope this is somewhat competitive.
This fight would have happened years ago had Roy not kept fighting part time sanitation workers and police officers.
i had to rewatch this.... great great interview IMO. I wasnt planning on watching it but i think ive been duped into it
I tend to agree m'man, im not expecting some great fight or anything.... but at this point i dont think i can miss it lol.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F8fkTbVPfw&NR=1[/ame] kinda worth watching.... really like what steve farhood had to say... pretty much agree with him.
Another great interview by Hopkins. I know he's trying to hype this fight up by using "revenge" all the time but i'm still excited.
WTF??..... Hopkins says he was 34 when he beat Trinidad. He was 36. Is there no end to people getting **** factually incorrect in this sport?! **** me.
