Hopkins next fight after Dawson?

    If he loses convincingly, it's time to retire.

    If he wins surely he will continue and there aren't any big names at light heavyweight for him to consider. At his age surely he only wants big money fights and the big names are at SMW. Any big name SMW might move up to fight him(highly unlikely), he moves down or a catchweight is considered. If not then he might consider Tavoris Cloud.

    No way. Not enough money for the risk Martinez will have to take especially when he's moving up. Martinez could have better luck against the big names at SMW or any big name below Middle making a move up.

    Grandfather time, actually. The only way Hopkins will retire is if he loses either one-sidedly by UD or a brutal KO.

    Exactly...Hopkins only wants the big fights/paydays and those seem quite thin on the ground at the moment. As you say a catch weight fight against a top smw is the only option but even then there's only ward or bute and I don't see him wanting any piece of ward, so bute seems the only workable fight. Of corse there's the small matter of beating chad first.
