Hopkins next fight or retirement!

A fight with Dawson would be pretty good ..Unless the rumors are true about a Calzaghe rematch I don't see any other fight that should be made ..Most of the super middles should fight each other .

at his age bernard is limited to fighting like once every year

so probably wont b winner of super 6 as he will prob b too old then but who knows

ATG that Bernard is, I think its time to call it quits... he is starting to slowly show his age, but what a fighter... considering the structure of his career he deserves as many props as any guy out there.

 

i'm a big Hopkins fan and hope that he has 1 more fight before retirement. A win aganst a young unbeaten star like bute or dawson for me would be the perfect farewell

 

Yep I agree.. take out one of those guys, its a total call out to the naysayers and then call it a career..
Thing is that boxing fans in general are total haters and the fact that people can slag a legend like Hopkins is a total testement to that fact.

 

What about the possibility of him moving up to heavy? This won't happen now but, wasn't it only like a year ago that he thought about it? How would that work? I assume not good.

Im a big Hopkins fan and I have to study his fights alot because I'm an aspiring boxer but I want him to retire. Why do people think he can beat my man Dawson? Chad is no one-dimensional fighter and Hops would get beaten.....badly. No way in hell he beats Dawson unless I'm proven wrong but Hops has achieved enough to be an ATG & HOF he doesn't need to fight anymore. Dawson is my man and is elite but he needs to prove himself to be a HOF'er, Hopkins doesn't. Love both fighters but this is how I feel. I love Bute too and see no way Hops beats him either....

 

His old ass need to retire because that last fight was worst than the Pac vs Clottey fight and that was the worst fight i have ever seen. Retire Benard with your hatin ass.

 

Bhop is one of the greatest MW's ever and if people can't respect that they're not true fans. That guy does do bad tactics & has had sleepers but his great fights more than make up for that. He is a true legend and deserves respect for what good he did do for this sport. One of the most disciplined fighters ever...

He should either fight Dawson or retire. Like someone has already said...he should have retired after Pavlik.
