There is no clear best LHW until the top three guys actually fight each other.

Your fantasy scenarios don't mean ****.

Chad is done, his long time trainer said he was helpless and he hasn't fought in a year.

    Naw.

He said he wanted to move up fights ago but Hunter talked him out of it.
Says he's now ready to do it and can't wait to move up.

    This! :deal

So far, BHOP is on the path to being the best.
If he defeats Stevenson, he will be the best without doubt.

There is not a best LHW agreed.

Those are not pure fantasy scenarios but possible outcomes of fights involving Sergey so that people won't come and say it's a definitive Kayo for Kovalev against Bernard or against Chad or against Ward just based on Sergey's power. I believ this doesn't insult anyone but the blindfolded who took a ticket on the Kovalev express to no man's land. I personally want to see him fight the best.

Chad is far from done, his long time trainer who I suppose to be Mustapha Muhammad must be more disppointed than him but if he's gonna say things like that to the media and general public, he can step aside and leave a place to Iceman John Scully.

More glory, fame & money for Stevenson to face/defeat Hopkins than Kovalev.
That is the one that will happen 1st. :yep

    Agreed.

If Kovalev is smart, while Hopkins and Stevenson are facing each other, Kovalev should be matching against Dawson, Cloud, or Ward to earn his props.

Since when did it become a "four piece puzzle"? Lewis was considered lineal and undisputed when he held the WBA-WBC-IBF titles without the WBO. Same goes for Tyson. The WBO is not needed in order to be considered undisputed...

Against Dawson, he would have someone to compare to what maybe was a fluke or a once in a lifetime achievement that gave Stevenson everyting. But more than that, we know Chad is an acomplished fighter who went through the LHW system, beating the old champs including Hopkins and showing a good combination of size advantages, conditioning, offense, technique, speed, slickness and boxing I Q. This idea that Chad is done having lost his second fight and the fact that he is so called chinny doesn't catch my imagination.

Against Cloud, it's pretty much the same, former champion, fought Stevenson and gave a good effort, fought Hopkins and he is a power-puncher, an aggressive warrior first.

Ward as many say and as Hopkins says, is pretty much strategically and technically hard to engage with just like Hop is so that would set Kovalev into a higher plane.

And remember, Kovalev doesn't have to fight all three because as soon as Stevenson is done with Fonfara and Hop is into an agreement with Stevenson, Main Events need to work together with GBP/Al Haymon to find a solution to put Sergey in a position where the HBO/Showtime cold war won't affect him to materialize that fight next year before someone else retires.

He is in the prime of his life and considered one of the best fighters in the world .

He needs to be more active and step it up with his next opponent .

So why not the IBO and WBF? Those organizations are just as credible and recognizable as the WBO - if not more so.

You don't need the WBO title in order to be recognized as undisputed. That was true for Tyson, that was true for Lewis and it's true now...

Pacquiao is a champion of paper. Mayweather is the *only* fighter at 147 with a credible claim to the lineal title. Holding the WBO trinket doesn't make you a world champion. Period, end of....
