Hopkins isn't a cruiser, Adamek isn't even a big name, it would be better for his legacy to beat Chad.

Not really. Adamek now has more momentum and a much larger fan base then Chad. He probably has more fans in Jersey, than Chad has in the entire country. Plus Adamek has a rep of taking on the best comp (that's how little known Chad got his shot), while Chad has already handpicked some obvious mismatches to defend his belt. In addition, although Dawson has dazzling offensive skills, Adamek still manages to make more exciting and entertaining fights.

Chad would likely struggle with TA at CW, because of his certified horrendous chin and Adamek's own improvements. Basically, against Dawson, Adamek tried to fight defenisvely for the first time (no doubt due to McGirt's advice), but his defense stifled his trade mark offense and his whole game suffered as a result. Importantly, he didn't have a plan B against Chad's accurate, crisp combinations, which is very characteristic of Buddy's fighters. Having a main trainer whom you can't even understand, didn't do much to help either.

Basically, anyone who thinks TA is losing this one solely based on the loss against Dawson, is seriously selling Adamek short. Unlike Pavlik, one punch from Adamek can easily end this fight and even Bernard himself, cannot avoid being hit with at least a few power punches in the entire fight.

The executioner will finally meet his maker.

I agree but that is what makes this an intriguing fight.

Good fight to have in Chicago.

This is all talk...Hopkins is famous for making smaller men move up in weight to fight him...not the other way around.

If he gains another 20 pounds and expects to be as effective, he is truly losing his mind!!

I'm afraid he is trying to bite more than he can chew. Adamek's main problem with Dawson was his speed. Hopkins is an exxcellent boxer but he was noticably slower than Taylor and that was years ago who is def slower than Dawson.

After seeing Adamek on Friday night I think BHOP would beat him...Bhop would be the smaller man prolly around 188...But he is a better fighter by far than Adamek...

It would be a close fight. Adamek is really good, Hop has been and seen it all. Adamek will try and push the fight, Hopkins will move, slip and hold.

In which way exactly is he better? Defensively? Yes, that is his superiority. Speed? Possibly, but we haven't seen his speed at CW. In every other department Bhop is about equal (punch accuracy, boxing IQ, heart, possibly chin) or inferior (offensive output, strength, stamina) to Adamek. If he doesn't find a way to hug Adamek for 12 rounds, Bhop will become road kill ala Banks.

I think people are hyped up over Adamek's win. Which isn't new because it was a recent fight and he did very well.

I think Hopkins can go up in weight with no problem. I don't like Adamek's footwork and I think Bhop will make him pay (ala Kelly Pavlik).

He gained 15 against Tarver and whooped him and Tarver I think has been at 175 his whole boxing career.

I think Bhop holds all of those advantages over Adamek.

No way does Adamek knock out Bhop ala Banks.

    Not a chance.
